Just turned 69 today so 73 seams to on the young side to meet your end!

I give my condolences to his friends and family and a "Salute" to "dewolf".

I was very sad to hear about Dewolf. Thoughts and prayers for him and his family. To me, he was the goto man if you had any questions --be it about WBs or the S3s. From time to time I would ask him a question and he would always take the time to clarify what ever the issue may have been. He would also be the first to bring any question up about the game rules, regardless of which side it may effect.
He was just a top notch individual that was taken from us way to soon and his contributions to WBs and the S3s will forever be remembered,.

Salute Dewolf, and may you RIP and watch over us from the blue sky's above

Jim

Apologies for not posting more. As Dobs mentioned, Dewolf was a fixture at their early Sunday afternoon picnics/BBQ's/whatever at the airport. As they mentioned when I was down there, they always knew it was over when Wolf got up to leave for his Sunday evening computer flight. One day he never arrived and after going to check on him they found him in his bed.

Wolf was an amazing friend to me. Part best friend, part uncle in many ways. I had been telling the mutual friends that Dobs and I share outside of WB with Wolf that I would come down to assist with his estate. After putting it off for far too long, and because of a (positive) change in my personal life, one day I walked into our Monday team meeting at Microsoft and announced "Today is my last day. I have stuff to do." That afternoon I hopped on a plane to L.A., took in games 6 & 7 of the World Series, and then headed up to Santa Ynez to go through his stuff.

There were a few stories to be told, but one revolves around us in the Virtual 352nd calling him "Forest Wolf" based on all the events and people he came across during his amazing lifetime. On day one I was going through a box of personal pictures of his that were set aside, and just kind of glancing through there was one of Neil Armstrong on the moon. I thought to myself "That was an odd pic to put in with his boyhood photos and pics of him in later life dressed as Santa for the airport Christmas party", and never really thought much of it.

The next day I decided to go through the pics and text them to Juice, Parson, and a few others, when I looked more closely at the Neil Armstrong pic:

"To Roger,
Best Wishes,
Neil Armstrong"

Even in passing, he still was able to amaze me.

He truly was one of the most unique and caring individuals I've had the pleasure to meet in my lifetime. He had his rough edges at times, but everything he did was meant with best intentions. I went months of where every time I'd think about his passing, my first though that popped in my head as it did so many times was "Well I'll just call him", as if that would sort it out or something. He's still #1 on my favorites list on my phone I'm sure he'll be there until I take my last flight.

Blue skies again Roger, you're still missed my brother.
