Mission objectives just received:
The Japs must be pushed out of New Georgia Island, and Vella Lavella Island. This includes 3 airfields, 4 lookouts and 2 ports. We may as well forget the far West port at 22 at this point.

Important rules to remember:
All Navy pilots may rebase at an airfield for all flights (except the first flight at T+0, must launch from CV) if a Navy pilot gets shot down he may roll from an airfield but must fly the correct Naval aircraft from the Navy (cv based) plane set. (1 Hellcat, 2 Wildcat or 2 SBD, 1 TBF) and of course..no teleporting as per usual S3 rules.

All designated Black Sheep squadron members' available airframes include 2 x F4U-1A and 1 x F4U-1.
All others get:
1x F4U-1A
1x F6F-3
1x P-38G
1x P-40N (N-1 or N-5 is pilot's choice)

AE's have volunteered to fly Navy Airframes, with their first sortie launching from the Carrier. Their numbers should meet the requirement of at least 30% flying Navy for the frame.

Having received the mission objectives late my time is limited for planning. I can tweak this some Sat night at some point.

The Doolittle Raiders have 3 airfields (28,37,38) to hit this frame. Field F28 layout should allow a one pass run for easier closure. F 37 has some off site targets, abit harder and F38 has two off site target areas, even harder.
Fields F38 and F37 are DR’s first sortie targets. With F28 the second sortie and possible 37/38 cleanup.
Only 6 B17's can be flown, rest can fly other buff airframes.

Knights will close 35 then start on 36. This will give axis something to think about. Second sortie possible cleanup at an airfield or continue on 36 and close if possible.

RCAF how about a high altitude flight over enemy territory looking for their scouts and causing confusion. Stay fast and alive. Feel free to join the buffs at some point over target.

AE If possible with cv positioning I want you to be extended escort for buffs, ie say 5+ miles from buffs positioned how you decide best. Once attacks happen collapse to the buffs if deemed appropriate. Last frame first escort contacts were very high and wanted to kill escorts not buffs. We need the buffs alive folks!!

23rd will be close escort. We need the buffs alive folks!!

To all escorts: Keep your eyes open for buff attacks from their altitude or diving early to their altitude, they seem to like that when we are all 30k plus.

I’ll be in tower for awhile to monitor action from 38/37 on dar.

I threw this together quick, so if I messed up let me know, gotta go for now!!
