Provide any input you wish I am going to post Frame 2 by Friday evening.

Please provide number of pilots for each Group and the name of their Officer in Command

I welcome any suggestions so if you have one let'er rip.

If we don't get our DAR back up then I will be sending out scout ships and hope that along with that and GC we will get prior notice of incoming cons and sneak attacks.

Basic plan will be to get airborne and high enough to make proper intercepts.

The one thing that concerns me is Jerry waiting 20-30 min to launch an attack leaving us low on fuel when they come in.

Additionally, HE111 can reach Newcastle; Do17 can reach Manchester and Hull; Stuka and Me109 can reach the entire southern portion of England. Check out the Game Map. ??Will DAR @ 89 rebuild, did we lose F6 and F18 or will it rebuild.

The Frame 2 Scenario is from a previous Series Britain will Fall. Take a look at it. I think the Frame we face maybe similar:

Frame 2 Summary

German bombers were out in strength the day after Eagle Day.

RAF HQ and 11 Group saw a build-up of three large German forces. One coming NW from the Abbeville area, another barely on long-range radar over the North Sea and the other coming straight for them over Calais. German fighters were screening infront waiting for an RV to escort in their charges. The spread and timing of the attacked forced RAF HQ to hold back more fighters waiting to see where the assaults would turn. When finally the Luftwaffe moved all their attacks toward England some RAF squads were scrambled too late and ran into higher 109s over the heart of Kent. 109s roamed far and wide around their bombers intercepting climbing Hurricanes and Spitfires and forcing them to dive away.

The attacks on Biggin Hill and already damaged East Church were very accurate with several RAF pilots being killed or wounded in their fighters as they sat and waited for the scramble order. Losses to the German bombers were light and escorting 109s claimed additional RAF losses. While the battle over Kent was going on the last German bomber group slipped in and bombed both Manston and Hawkinge which had already been damaged previously.

The second set of raids of the day occurred during late afternoon. A group of He111s moved NE onto British radar heading for Ipswich. Three squadrons of Spitfires were dispatched to head them off when the German force changed direction and headed toward Southend port after joining up with a group of 109s. While this battle dragged the defenders to the east over the North Sea a second bomber group headed past Southend from the SE and dropped on Rochford. More bomber attacks spread the defences to the west and hit Detling airfield and caused heavy damage.

Later in the day as dusk approached specialized 109 cons made 2 quick runs at Rochford and East Church.

Raid #1 – Bombing of F32, F18
Raid #2 – Bombing of F7
Raid #3 – Bombing of F19
Raid #4 – Bombing of C74
Raid #5 – Bombing of F34
Raid #6 – Bombing of F43
Raid #7 – Bombing of F19/F43

<S> Omega!
I just found a good tactic that will counter the possibility of the Axis delaying their attack. We launch all our fighters at T+0 and climb at 135 mph, at 50% throttle. At 50% throttle we have fuel for 3 hours, can keep an average climb rate of 750 ft/min and can reach 24000 ft altitude. As such if they delay their attack even for as much as 30 minutes, then we'll still be at 80% fuel and above 20 000 ft when the call for an incoming attack reaches us. That's much better than scrambling from the ground at 0 ft altitude and then panic climb towards the enemy. :D

Thanks Robert that's what we will do! I just need to get valid info on what fields we can come out of.

omega,
Based on the posted game rules, and what I remember seeing in the buffer, F6 and F18 will be closed and unavailable for flight ops. The radar station at F89 will also be closed, and will not provide any radar data. However, all the radar sites on the immediate Dover coast are associated with F1 (Dover) and should remain open. Again, based on the posted rules, there should be no damage carry-over from frame to frame unless a field is closed, so there should be a full rebuild of all the Dover radars.

Given the 60 mile radius for Allied dar, there should not be a significant gap in radar coverage over the channel or the UK.
