Zinhawk, you said you would take Frame 5, just wondering what you were up to? (orders wise)

I was getting to it. Frame planning has begun much later before. This is the first free night I've had all week, and just found out today that I have to work through the S3. Sooooo....... I can come up with a plan, but I cannot be there for the execution Sunday. If someone else would like to take over, the floor is yours.

Thoughts:

-I figure we have to score 60-80 points to have a chance at possibly winning this thing. Thanks to a great Frame IV we can even consider that.
-Our remaining targets are grouped together in a small area, allowing easy defense for the allies, but its our only realistic chance.
-I was considering a late strike (when the buffs are on the ingress) to point grab as much as possible. Most of the fighter effort will be here with one or two small groups on AI protection detail. Cost/Reward is the basic reasoning with the objective to wipe out all AI (parked/flying=5 points cumulative, same as one improbable buff)

Bomber focus= Early frame try to take out shipping, since most of our fighters would be in the area they can assist in pulling intercepts away. After the buff stream is inbound, reach in to close remaining fields/bridges/cranes at CTY 28(Antwerp).

Fighter focus= Early frame sneakiness and hit targets on the southern side, but mostly we are selling most of our groups being in wait for the bombers. After buff stream is inbound, wipe out AI routes and parked a/c. If jabo groups can close fields do so, bridges are tougher than should be all we can do is drop 4-5 direct hits on each span and record them, hoping Jabo rules in our favor, other than that do not waste your time on them. If all goes well, we can form up for a mass attack on the egressing buffs as a last hurrah and get this miserable series over with on to the beautiful new terrain.

Gentlemen...

Tell us what you want is to hit and it will be done. Just need to make sure our Knights fighters are close to us to help out.

Jabos need to go in early and fast. Last frame there were AI still available to hit at one of the fields closed in a previous frame. Not sure if that was by accident or intent.
We have airfields closer to the targets than the Allies do. Guys launching at T+0 from 45 and 49 can hit the bridges (and hopefully some AI) at T36 and T34 before allied fighters can interfere.
A launch from 48 could hit T42, but would likely have to deal with opposition.

My 2 cents.

Whatever we do it's been fun this series. There has been some frustrating moments with the rules, but once again the Axis side being the underdog shine and that is cool to see.

Just letting you guys know I have late shifts today and tomorrow, final orders will be posted overnight.

Here's what I'm thinking and will mesh out the details tonight.

Knights- T+0 roll for ships in channel North of Antwerp, your fighters will be close escort, be sneaky as possible until attack. Egress north. Second sortie, be looking at taking out one of the 2 remaining TAC fields ( I do not have a map handy right now), cranes at CTY28 will be secondary target. Our radar does not penetrate too far into enemy lines so GCI may not be able to give you advanced warning.

Lf6- T+0 launch and be on station N of the ships out of Dar range. You will be the Knights primary relief, but it is important we sell our forces lying in wait. Second sortie, flying AI raid and mutual support for Knights and RCAF. Depending on outcomes we will regroup to attack buffs on egress.

RCAF- T+0 Launch and do what you gents have been doing well this series. Make parked AI a priority and assist in TAC closure if circumstances allow. I will clarify if closed field AI are on the table. Depending on outcomes prepare to attack buffs on egress.

Haze/AE/211/JG 27- I would like to put you guys on patrol over our flying AI to disrupt any ferret shenanigans. If that becomes fruitless, and depending on bases I'll move you west to prepare for buff stripping.

2nd sortie/ ground attack missions will take place one the buff stream is identified inbound and their escorts are committed.

Hopefully I've got everyone, any last thoughts?

RCAF will be launching at least 1 step from 49, we will overfly F36 (closed) and look for any AI, then continue over bridge west of 36.
We may launch another step from 45 and hit the bridge east of F34, then overfly F34 field (closed) looking for any AI.
If some guys take the 109K, they may go high looking for the flying AI, they can get to alt before any Allied can get there. ;)

I guess we use the same bases as last frame. There is no time to do time hacks but route may be the same as last frame as well. Second sorrow dependings on our losses and time.

We will do our best for you.
