All,

I want to thank everyone for giving there all tonight. Things didn't go quite the way I planned. I know the Knights took out their ships, one set of Ju's made it their target and made a good effort at 34.

Still, they were nothing but fodder for the 352nd. Not being able to defend themselves is wrong but there is nothing we can do about that. I can't find in any war books that 262 weren't allow to go after bombers nor protect themselves.

Because the bridge wouldn't go down they lost a lot 262s. I know Jugggo said Jabo was going to award points for 51/36 and 34 but the loses were huge.

Thanks go to Jugggo again for being my second chair and I really don't think the last 3 frames are going to mean much. I wish I had sent all fighters to do one thing and that is intercept the bombers.

Thanks again all and sorry we got our butts handed to us.

Hey Hawk,

It wasnt all bad , after you had to leave we managed to get great numbers on the buff group. From what I could see JG51 and others were in perfect position keeping the escorts busy and my group was able to make several attacks on the buffs. We even got a couple of em. Im sure Jabo will work out the bridge hardness issues and come up with a fair solution. We learned some lessons in the first two frames and have made some successes despite what the points say. Its always difficult fighting the late war allies with all of their different weapons, but it wasnt a busted frame at all. The early attacks was at least something to do and it just might have stopped the allies from putting all their fighters on buff escort.

Thank you Timos. Jugggo sent me a text saying you all got 3 bombers so WTG. Also, you all denied them 72.

Thanks again all!

Jabo stated at the end of the frame that he ruled the bridges that were attacked as destroyed.

So, not such a bad frame.

Good that the bridge was destroyed, however, it would have been nice to know that at the time.
We lost several 262s because they kept loitering there and making several runs at the bridge, thus exposing them too long.

Exactly Sawnee! I don't think this can be fixed and not fair to those that tried over and over again to down the bridge.
