Something like that.

We have had a lot of trouble lately with Warbirds kicking you out and giving you this error message.

VERY frustrating in an S3 where long flights then disco right before target.

most say connection is still "good" then they are out.

everything else still works fine... teamspeak3 etc..

Salute!

Yep, had it happen twice on Sunday night.

I think a lot of the phenomena is due to Netflix and Hulu and other streaming video crapola - they hog the bandwidth and it depends upon the "sharing" protocol/schema that your ISP uses, or an intermediate server on the way to/from iEn's server.

On both my iMac and 'doze laptop, I get about 3 updates/second. Ping tests show this is about right.

Only way I can see to help us is to have the main WB server extend the time between updates before kicking you out.

A second way could be to have dedicated intermediate servers that don't allow the streaming video to hog the time slices.

In the really old days we could select various routes to the WB server, and some had lots better response times than others. This was before Netflix, tho.

Issue is worth having WB extend the "lag" time criteria, ya think?

Gums sends...

P.S. Anybudy have a program to track/log the connect and ping times? Maybe could correlate with when we disco.

The S6 logs have the "time" that everything happens. How those recorded times relate to anything in the real world, others would have to state. In the past, it has been my observation that events seem to be recorded in groups so that a number of things end up with similar time stamps.

Nonetheless, frequent discos have become a real difficulty for a number of players including myself. A S3 event in which I only discoed on four different occasions would be a red letter day in the S3. On the same connect, with the same ISP, in the past I almost never discoed from WarBirds. In the past several months the opposite is the case, even in the Main Arena it is difficult to stay connected. Even in the Main arena I frequently get the "Close Game Connect on 1" message.

Happy trails...

It must have something to do with the routing, Muzz, Wildcat and I only disco about once a year between all 3 of us. We live in Ontario and Quebec, so we must have a more direct line or something. :D
