Frame was on Easter weekend and saw low turnouts and gradual arrivals during the night. This handicapped some planning especially on the allied side and some of their early missions were aborted or limited due to reassignments on the fly. Axis Ju88s again made it to target without suffering heavy losses shutting down at least a dozen bases and the MC202 again proved to be a born-again fighter, a first in S3 play. B17Fs on the allied side were not so lucky but did manage to close at least a six locations before being shot down over two missions. FW-190F8s proved the star of the night taking down 23 tanks while on the Allied side P38s managed to take out 12 Ju52s and 6 freighters.

Axis really took it to the allies in the field capture department. They captured 18 locations(16 arty/outposts, 1 GAF and 1 SAF) to the Allies 9(all arty/outposts) and were able to take 12 locations from the allies, winning back their initial field losses in frame 1 and pushing into allied territory.

These field captures and the heavy tank kill imbalance was the main difference in scores between the two sides.

Axis score 120.85 to 57.65 and take a commanding lead going into frame 4; 294.3 to 208.4

Hopefully we will be back to regular turnouts for Frame 4.

Good Luck.

Just a thought, but wasn't this Frame Three? Or did I really get into the booze heavy enough again to miss a whole week?

JABO:
I'm pretty sure that the Allies captured the following, but can you take a look at them?

72, 73, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 50, 57, 60, 62, 67 (10 were from the B17s)

Not sure whether they were all credited to the Allies.

Thanks <S>
