Gentlemen/Ladies,
The 4th is considering spending less time in the Main arena and spending more time in the WWII or other S3 style arena. More and more of our members are becoming disheartened with the Main. We invite the Warbirds community to join us. Obviously, we can not do this on our own, your support is appreciated. CO's drop in on our channel and we can discuss how and when to start this. Thank You.

I like the idea and will discuss this with the squad.

On a side note, if this were to happen. Would it be possible to have the WWII arena mirror image the S3 settings including the current S3 rides? Who would we talk to make that happen if agreed upon.

I will look into that DrDart. I know that you can grab S3 settings for the WWII arena by entering the S3, type in your PW, then exit and go into the WWII arena. I do not know if doing this will lock the ac types or even the S3 map. We will find out the answers though. Thanks!

I know JG 77 would be right with you. We've occasionally sparred with the Ferrets but haven't had many allied bums to point our cannons at ;).

ww2 can be set up pretty much how you like. We have several terrain specific axis/allied rps's available that can be used also, for most terrain that is.

The problem I see with this is simple numbers. I log on, and say have an hour to play, 3 dudes on in the WWII arena or 40 in the MA...where do you think most will go?

Not that this is a bad idea mind you, but I honestly don't think we have the numbers to support.

Now lets say you can coordinate a "squad night" with flavor of the day S3 aircraft....maybe on HUMP day or something:) I bet you would have more participation...

Lets call it a formal "Squad" night.

The only problem is the HO till impacters and the Taliban bombers would just show up in the WWII and start the "KFM" and "TBM" there...

Hate to see a community split again since we are just now consistently over 40s in the MA for US Eastern Prime time, but also understand the frustration.

We will be discussing PW protecting the arena too. Maybe make it a squads only setup. No buffer bickering allowed. Let the new guys have the Main to compete against themselves. This will be more enjoyable for them and force the rest of us to up our game. We will need those skilled at maintaining an S3 type arena to keep it setup based on the needs of the scenario. Permissions will have to be obtained to give those persons "on the fly" control of the settings . It should be "easy", it should not be so difficult to have anybody burn out on maintaining the arena. There will be a lot to discuss, much more than I care to text, and I am sure every CO will have some great ideas that should be considered. I get burned out on the Main, there is no challenge, no cohesive combined effort like the S3. Anyway, tonight guys, Hope to see you there. 4th channel TS. <S>
