Hm only black screen I ever get is when trying attach as a gunner.
I do CNTRL +Q, then try again.
Usually by 3rd time you are in.

The only times I really disco from WB is if my internet has dropped out entirely, in which case all internet connectivity is lost
As soon as my router reboots and detects the broadband again, its back to normal.

Only one "black screen" disco, but THREE different "Lost Connection to Host" messages. TS solid through out. Logged out.

I haven't had a disco since my daughter sent her project for the year (English Major) to the printer that is connected to my computer. 245 pages was a bit too much. (this was my old computer that only had 4 mg Ram, my new one had 16 mg RAM)

The trick I use to get out of a black screen is:

type .exit to get out of the plane (assuming you're on the ground)

type .move xx (where xx = a friendly field number)

type .fly

type .exit again and you should be good to go.

game close connect means WB has !crashed! doesn't it?
only time I tend to get that is when something else on my PC decides there is an update available.

Dewolf, Think it has anything to do with vulche dying? :D You might try staying further away from him !

Seriously though, I've never seen this on my Mac. Is this a PC thing only?

Salute!

Yeah, Split, could be a 'doze problem due to all the various graphics modes and drivers and such.

I have not been able to fly my Mac for last two months, so do best I can on a 'doze laptop in my workshop. Meanwhile, I tried "classic" in the main and flew for an hour with no problems.

This problem seems to be related to the Crimea terrain and associated graphics. No doubt, it's a beautiful terrain, but there could be some glitches moving to new "tiles" and such. The basic slow pings to iEN seem more related to many folks hoggin bandwidth in the evenings, and I suspect we'll see that next weekend with many folks celebrating holidays early.

Well, this is a screenie of DISCO NUMBER FOUR, all during Sunday's S3 Event. Three were "in-tower", this one was "in-flight". As "discos" seem to be wholesale for most all players, I'm having trouble believing that this problem resides anywhere but the HOST. Please note the last two entries in the buffer. Also note that the screen clearly shows that my private-server TS remained connected the entire time. IEN has just gotta fix this!!!!

Yep, this is exactly what happened to me last week. I never have disco problems at all and I think this is game related, not something on my end/connection. This needs to be looked into and pronto. DeWolf, what were the circumstances when you were in the air and this happened? Were you around a large group of planes at the time?
