Post subject:  New computer woes... my nephew

My nephew had a friend purchase computer parts and build / set up a computer for him (details Below)
Problem is, he did everything including set up win 10 then shipped it to him (cringe)

Nephew powers it up and it shows option to go to bios, then locks up when trying to run windows.
He was able to get it to run for about 5 hours by removing WiFi antenna...??? But it shut down to just some noise and a fast blinking light, blue, on motherboard

I am just literate enough to try things but I’m not local to him.
Any ideas of what to try, or where to go for help

-thanks

ESD, Electric Static Discharge is probably the culprit if he was not schooled in the properly handling of components.

That was what the nephew feared so he had his buddy do it. All was well before shipment and the nephew hasn’t opened the case at all.

Static build up in shipment not dissipated befor running?

If he did not handle the components then ESD is not the issue however components can be dislodged during transport. To check for loose components the case needs to be opened and ESD protocols should be observed. Ware cotton clothing and keep one hand on the case and use the other to check for loose hardware.
