Starting with the Mud Movers
There are some normal fighter jocks here, who had a lot of DBA so qualified as a bomber (5 BDA or more)

JlordJ finished with 10 BDA and 17 kills to earn the Silver Star
Image

Daryl finished 2nd with 28 BDA and 3 kills to earn the U.S. Distinguished Flying Cross (it is 1 level lower than the British DFC)
Image

Buckroo finished 3rd with 13 BDS and 3 kills and also earned the US. DFC

I used my LL here for a death in frame 4. I shot down 13 planes with 6 assist and only 1 death in the series. Just wondering why I wasn't mentioned in the fighter puke category?
Just inquiring sir. <S>

Just another quick question. How many points are awarded for B5N2....D3A1....Ju87 kills.......1 or 2 points?

Epic, you had 7 BDA and if you have more than 5 you get moved into the Mud Mover Category. Looking at the points for each category, you finished 4th alone as a Mud Mover, or you would have been tied for 4th as a Fighter. ;)

I may change the BDA number to 10 for the series that started this season with the first of 3 scenario's, HOG. I was using 5 for the last 3 years, but it may be too generous to move fighters into Mud Movers.

I thought it was based on points? 13 kills + 6 assist = 15.5 points. Minus 2 bailed and 2 captured = 3.00 and 1 DND and captured = .75 15.50-3.75 = 11.75 points with the LL added. Is this correct? If my math is accurate, wouldn't It be the the Legion of Merit awarded to me as an fighter puke?
I'm just not seeing how you calculate bombing score? How am I ranked over "Dogfit" in the Mud Mover category when he flew a B-29 destroyed 18 targets....with 1 kill and 2 assist? I'm ranked under bckroo (flew only fighters) with his 13 Targets and 3 kills? I destroyed my 7 targets in a spit9 during the last 20 minutes of frame 5. I think counting me as a mud mover is taking away a possible medal, or an higher ranked medal from someone whom really deserves it from that category. Just curious about how this all works. If you could break it down for me it would be appreciated.
Thank you sir. <S>

For example Jlordj had 17 kills and 7 assist. that = 18.75 minus 1.50 for is bail and capture = 17.25 Thus he would have received the Air force Cross as a fighter puke....instead he received the Silver star as a Mud Mover. Shouldn't the highest medal be awarded regardless of the role?

Another example Juice..... 18 conformed kills + 11 assists 18.00 + 2.75 = 20.75 Thus he should receive the Air Force Cross as well....instead of the Silver Star....or is the silver star ranked higher than the AFC???? If that is the case than the awards page needs updating.

Beaver,

Thank you for your hours of work! This must be tedious stuff. Just want to let you know your efforts are appreciated.

Do you post the Excel worksheets with the point calculations anywhere? I think Jabo or Phoenix use to post the point calculations in the past. It may help answer any questions one may have.

Not that it matters, but I don't think the fighter squads consider themselves mud movers. If over half your points come from EA confirmed, you probably are a fighter puke, as you put it :D

I am trying to find a balance that rewards the guys in "normal" fighter squads that do Jabo work during a campaign. If they get enough BDA, then they were acting as Mud Movers. I could make 3 categories, but the medals rewarded are based on the points earned, not on what category you are in. As I posted earlier, I am going to make 10 BDA the threshold for moving into the Mud Mover role.

I don't post the points, I just post the awards and send the spreadsheet to Phenix who adds the Awards to everyone earned an award. The list of other medals is posted after the picture of awards, so you know if you received a medal, you need to look at your S6 site to see what medal you earned.
