Just came across a minor situation. when you (R) and (P) users make sure you drag them to your channel first. You want them to show up as a member of your channel. If you (R) (P) them outside of your channel they will show up as a (G)uest and have no permissions. Likewise, if you actually have a Guest in your channel, don't (R) or (P) them. It will cause them to appear as a Guest in their own channel. Anybody within their own channel can change it back once they return.

Tip of the day.
I thought everybody knew this already, but just recently found out that many do not.

Left click "Connection", "Connect" Click the "More" button. Find "Default Channel" and enter the name of your squad channel as it appears in TS.
Now when you come into TS you will go straight to your channel. You can also change your nickname here.

Been reading the server log today, Some of you are "R"egistering and "P"iloting users in the Community Lobby. They must be in their channel before doing this. Basically you are giving them permissions in the Community Lobby, when they get down to their respective channels they appear as a "G"uest and lose their permissions.

Tip of the day:

If you right click your channel and select "Setup 3D Sound" You can drag member icons in virtual space around you. This only affects your sound and not others. In the case of the 4thFG I always had the 334th in my left ear, the 336th in my right and the 335th center. This way I always knew which squad was speaking.

Tip of the day:
Tired of hearing Dixie (TS3 female voice) telling you when somebody enters the channel? Want to shut her up, or just change the voice?

Click "Settings" "Options" "Notifications"
To mute all sounds in the SOUNDS PACK drop down menu select "Sounds Deactivated"
Then to the right of the screen WHILE OUTPUT MUTED select "Play No Sound"
Appy, OK your done.

If you just want to change the voice, you can choose one of the default sound packs from the Sound Pack menu.
If you don't like the default, download something you do like, by clicking the blue link bottom right of your screen and go to Sound Packs. Find a Sound Pack you think you would like and install it as follows:

Method 1: (the preferred method) The sound pack you downloaded will be an exe file. Double click it and it will be installed after restarting TS.

Method 2: You download a folder with sound files in it.
First (Win 7) Go to C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\Sound
Create a new folder here and give it the name of your new Sound Pack. Place your sound files in that folder.
Restart TS and follow the directions above for deactivating sound. Select your sound file from the drop down menu.
You can leave the play no sounds option as is in the WHILE OUTPUT MUTED menu. Or leave it on. It doesn't matter. It just means you will either hear sounds
when your mic is muted or not.

Fixed an issue today where "M"oderators and "C"hannel Officers could not move other "C"hannel Officers in and out of their channel.
If you come across any more issues, let me know. Thanks for your patience.

Started removing redundant unique Identification numbers. Attempts will be made to keep the most current ID active. If you find your permissions are not correct, let me know, or have a Moderator fix them for you. This will take a few days to complete. Moderators remember, only 2 Channel Officers per group(squad).
Starting with the 4th, using them as guinea pigs :)
