First series will start Sunday 15 Oct 2023 at 2030hrs EDT. Fall line-up below. SIDE ASSIGNMENTS! Interested Squadrons or lone wolves are asked to post their numbers in a separate thread, as well as any preferences for which side they would like to fly on. Anticipated turnouts will significantly affect the scenario set-ups! S3# 137 Iron Dogs of the Desert will highlight P-39 flight operations in Tunisia in early 1943. During this period both the Axis and Allied powers were "racing toward Tunis" to control the Afrika Korps supply lines; the Axis from Sicily and the Allies from French Algeria. Initial objectives will be to capture "neutral" fields before settling into a slogging match of aerial combat. More details to follow in a separate post. Plane set (TBC) Allied: P-400 Airacobra (representing both the P-39L and P-400 in service with the USAAF), P-38F Lightning, C-47 Axis: Bf 109G-2, Fw 190A-4, Ju-52 Frame 1: 15 Oct Frame 2: 22 Oct Frame 3: 29 Oct Frame 4: 5 Nov (frame starts at 2030hrs EST) S3 #138 Circus Circus will focus on RAF probes into occupied Europe in 1941. Four frame series with players switching sides for frames 3 and 4. Plane set (TBC) Allied: Spitfire MkIIa, Spitfire MkVb, Blenheim and/or Wellington Axis Bf 109F-2, Bf 109F-1 Frame 1: 12 Nov Frame 2: 19 Nov Frame 3: 26 Nov (may be delayed if attendance forecast to be low because of US Thanksgiving) Frame 4: 3 Dec (frame starts at 2030hrs EST) S3 #139 Christmas over Korea 1950 USAAF B-29s escorted by F-86 Sabres battle Mig 15s Two frame series, switching sides after one frame Frame 1: 10 Dec Frame 2: 17 Dec Holiday break with new series in January.
