Team Green (Allies) executed two B-24J missions to attack the rail yard at F78, LeTouquet. Post-mission analysis indicated bombing accuracy was "average". While many structures were destroyed, the rail yard is still operational. Turn out was a bit lighter than I hoped, with each side missing a few of their "regulars". Great to see Von Sleep flying. Team Green 7 Pilots 352nd: juice=, =wilz=, crhtwo, redsgt Other: =vslp=, WLDBIL, bombr- P-47D - 12 sorties, shot down 1 Fw190A-8, 2 Bf-109G6. No aircraft lost. B-24J - 13 sorties, shot down 1 Fw 190A-8, destroyed 17 ground objects. One aircraft and AI wingman lost. Team Gold 7 pilots RCAF: muzz--, -deak-, yukone 23rd: -splt-, grmpy- 4th: jedijc Lone wolf: chzwhz Fw 190A-8: 13 sorties, shot down 1 B-24J and 1 AI wingman, 4 aircraft lost. Bf 109G6: 4 sorties, no kills, 2 aircraft lost Bf 109G6/RVI: 2 sorties, no kills, no aircraft lost. Team Green scores 6 VPs for enemy fighters that were lost. Team Gold scores 8 VPs for two buffs destroyed. A gentle start to the series. Team Gold won the frame, but would have lost it easily if Team Green's bombing was more successful. Frame 2 runs this Sunday, 26 March 2023. |
