Just jotting down some ideas... thoughts, since Muzz is looking for input:

1) 5 frames in a MC200 seems long.... perhaps smaller spans of operations or changing planes more often (depends on scenario)
2) possibly switching sides, or rotating the same scenario from the other side's perspective (I know this is a headache to organize)
3) Current S3 is very difficult for the Italians... so it must be a good setup :) Hats off to the 352nd for making it very difficult.
Completed sinking the ships last night was gratifying since it seemed so difficult at beginning of frame. many people working together.
4) one thing missing... but is a lot of work is the recaps... mentioning people in dispatches... highlighting some individual's performances...
lets everyone know what's going on. This could also be helped by squads getting back to writing AARs.

that's what I got so far (Monday morning)

<S> and thank you Muzz for keeping our playground running.

From my/23rd FG's perspective:
The current series has been mostly fun, but very trying at times. Overall a pretty good setup I’d say Muzz. This past frame the 3 of us flew 3 different airframes, one fighter, one Stuka and one He111. Apparently it was a good thing as the Axis sunk all the ships on the list. Don’t think for a minute it was easy. The Stukas had a real hard time of it, but kept on charging in best they could. The few fighters that we had valiantly escorted us buffs the best they could as well. Good Job with the tools you had! I thank them for their sacrifices as it allowed me to level bomb more or less unhampered most of the time… as well as making a few recon passes over the harbour looking for the correct ships. Pre-frame Intel is the only thing that allowed me to find the correct ships to attack.
Job well done Axis!!!

Over the past couple of years the 23rd has changed our rides from strictly fighters to bombers to whatever is needed for our side at the time. At this time the vast majority of S3 pilots are very good fighter pilots, but poor bomber pilots. However it is refreshing, exciting, and disappointing at times to fly something you are not real familiar with, like a bomber. Sure puts some pucker factor back into the game. All should try it. Bombers still have to make plans, do recon/intel, and probably practice some to be successful.

Grumpy and I have talked about future S3’s some and we feel that we may have to give up some more historical realism to make it fun for both sides. I don’t think anyone would be upset at that.
Hell, maybe even a completely non historical battle would be good.

Thanks for picking up the reins of the S3’s Muzz.
