Frame 3 Turnouts Represented Squads - 352nd (7), JG51 (1), 4th (5), RCAF (3), 13VRAF (2), 23rd (3), AE (1), DRs (1) 7 Allied pilots (352nd), 41 Hurri1 sorties 16 Axis pilots (6 in SM79s, 10 in MC.200), 18 SM.79 and 28 MC.200 sorties Numbers/side balance was off again this frame, giving the Allies an advantage Low Allied turnout attributed to a perceived "lack of parity" between the fighter aircraft. Losses MC.200 - 11. 9 shot down by Hurries, 1 by AAA SM.79 - 8. 7 shot down by Hurris, 1 by ack Hurri1 - 5. 1 shot down by SM.79 and 4 by MC200. By frame end Axis had found and destroyed 9 of 12 Blenheims, as well as 10 parked a/c, 1 hangar, 10 artillery positions and 2 20mm AAA. Axis failed to fully achieve their objective of destroying all 12 Blenhiems; Allied victory. |
