Frame 1 Turnouts Represented Squads - 352nd (7), JG51 (1), 4th (6), RCAF (3), 13VRAF (2), AE (5), 23rd (3), Knights (1), DRs (2), 69th (1), Unaffiliated (2, rayone, matsub) 8 Allied pilots (352nd + -prime), 46 Hurri1 sorties 25 Axis pilots (10 in SM79s, 15 in MC.200), 36 SM.79 and 38 MC.200 sorties Losses MC.200 - 15. 12 shot down by Hurries SM.79 - 15. 5 shot down by Hurris, 3 by ack, remainder crashed Hurri1 - 6. 5 shot down by SM.79 and 1 by MC200. Axis closed Hal Far (MAF 225) by the end of the frame, achieving their objective and "winning" the frame. NB - Malta fields will fully rebuild between each frame of this series. ---------------------------- Frame 2 Turnouts Represented Squads - 352nd (7), JG51 (1), 4th (5), RCAF (2), 13VRAF (2), AE (3), 23rd (2), Unaffiliated (1 - rayone) 8 Allied pilots (352nd + -prime), 52 Hurri1 sorties 15 Axis pilots (7 in SM79s, 8 in MC.200), 22 SM.79 and 38 MC.200 sorties numbers/side balance was off this frame, giving the Allies an advantage Losses MC.200 - 15. 12 shot down by Hurries, 2 by AAA SM.79 - 15. 5 shot down by Hurris, 3 by ack, remainder crashed Hurri1 - 6. 5 shot down by SM.79 and 1 by MC200. Blenheims proved difficult for the axis to locate. However, by frame end 10 of 12 had been destroyed. Axis failed to fully achieve their objective. Allied victory. |
