Jabo,

I thank you immensely for what you provided to a large group of individuals who sought to experience WWII combat aviation at a level of realism greater than what the Main Arena could provide. Often I was amazed at the amount of detail that went into each series to recreate historical events as we flew and aggressively worked to rewrite history and answer the proverbial "what if?".

I came in too late to witness the "Donkey" christening, but I always jokingly thought of you as the "Warbirds Dungeon Master", pulling strings with random precision (nod to Roger Waters) to make the puppets fly around and furiously shoot at each other. I also envisioned you laughing yourself sick as you misdirected more than one misguided soul into a fray of your own making and when the obligatory complaining came to a deafening crescendo, you simply offered an answer along the line of "Ain't fog of war a bitch!". Good times, good times indeed!

Twenty years is an amazing feat! Thank you again.

<S> Jabo

You provided us with such a fantastic realm in which to escape and immerse ourselves back in time - to a place where valiant knights ruled the skies.
You will me missed sir.

Thank you.

Jabo,
Sorry to see you leave and the S3's come to an end :(
The S3 was what excited me the most about playing WB's.
I really missed playing the past few months, living out on Kwajalein since January... with an 18hr time offset...
I was pretty close to joining that 200 club too... ;)
Thanks for all the effort you put into making it an enjoyable game. You will be missed!
Hopefully we cross paths again!

I loved S3 and have no idea what I'm going to do now on Sunday nights. Thanks for all you did for the game.

Thanks to you all. Just the prepping for Sunday nights will be missed, let along the actual event. Been through a couple marriages, three kids and countless jobs over the two decades. One constant was you sorry bunch of virtual heros. I was glad to be apart of your dedicated fun group over all the years. I will still help out with WarBirds if they need help on terrains. But most importantly I will see you all online somewhere, somehow, somewar.

I can't improve on Muzz's comments so I'll just say thanks for 20 years of (mostly) fun Sunday nights :)

S3's are the only reason I still have a subscription

Mr Jabo,

You and yours created from nothing, a work so well executed and managed that we can speak of 20 years of success.
You need to know and understand that your creation in this environment made it possible to dream the dream.
You made it possible for friendships to form and bond.
You made it possible for RL Veterans to be honored and helped.

If you ever doubt your contribution or its effect, I believe you enabled those of us who dreamed of being a small part of bringing to attention the Men of Great Worth who serve for us to the fore, and keeping the memory and true history alive in ways I as a child never thought was possible.

A game/simulation is a game. You conceived of a Trial and Test for a Community unlike others.

It is The Model in my opinion for all others to aspire to.

Know this.

Thank you so much for the Sandbox and the invitation to play in it.

Juice
