Post subject:  OCL Frame 3 Summary

The Allies continued to pound the western German bases sending in their heavies over France once again. Not to be outdone the almost extinct Luftwaffe bomber force made a return hitting airfields and shipping over Belgium. Mossie Intruders continued to be a constant threat hitting at least 4 radar stations along the Dutch coast and sinking 8 ships off Hamburg and in the far off Baltic. German jabos hit the area around T43 destroying two P51Bs on the ground and shooting down 4 C47s. Later in the frame they returned to close the forward airstrip there. All frame long it was a case of cat and mouse with the defending allied patrols. B24s were again in the fore taking down three airbases while loosing 4 bombers to the enemy interceptors.
Overall the Allies claimed 39 enemy a/c while the Luftwaffe tallied 12 plus the 6 AI a/c. German losses continue to be sever. This and the freedom of movement that Allied mossies had to sink shipping was the difference in Frame 3.
Allies win this frame and take a strong lead going into frame 4, 358 to 226.

Good Luck in Frame 4

Notes
1. AI flak was better but the ETO LAF flak is again very weak for some reason. Down low the MGs are good but it seems like the 40mm doesnt even fire. Seems to have been this way forever regardless of settings.
2. Confusion on field closure during the frame. Every structure at the field except AAA and tower need to go down for closure. At the field no where else as there could be lots of attached industry or tac field targets.
3. Enabled Red and Purple fields with various a/c for testing by squads. Testing bomber hardness, weapons and FMs for this series and the next two. A couple squads are going to test various issues and setups and I am sure the more volunteers the better. Arena open.
